Generic Betagan is developed by medical scientists to fight with high pressure inside the eyes. Target of Generic Betagan is to treat glaucoma and condition called ocular (eye) hypertension. It acts on receptors in the blood vessels of the eye and causes them to constrict. This lessens the amount of watery fluid (aqueous humour) that passes out of the blood vessels into the eye-ball. Generic Betagan also blocks the area of the eye that actively produces aqueous humour.

Generic Betagan is also known as Finacea, Finacea Plus, Finevin.

Generic name of Generic Betagan is Levobunolol (Ophthalmic route).

Brand name of Generic Betagan is Azelex.

Generic Betagan contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Contact lenses should be removed before using Generic Betagan.

Be careful with Generic Betagan if you have bronchitis, breathing or lung problems, COPD, diabetes, first-degree heart block, overactive thyroid, low blood sugar levels, blood flow or blood vessel problems, or a history of heart failure.

Avoid alcohol.

Be very careful with Generic Betagan if you take beta-blockers (eg, propranolol), bupivacaine, calcium channel blockers (eg, diltiazem), catecholamine-depleting agents (eg, reserpine), digoxin, disopyramide, flecainide, insulin, ketanserin, phenothiazines (eg, chlorpromazine), quinazolines (eg, alfuzosin), or verapamil, clonidine.

Avoid machine driving.
